[Ginko is always out and about. During the Zompania draft, he was no fighter - but he was doing his best to help the refugee and injured soldiers that were residing in the city proper. Unfortunately, his medical expertise is limited; there wasn't a great deal he could do, other than to assist more experienced doctors where he could.

He has taken to the forest quite a bit, lately. He's explored around the area, looking at its features and distinctions. It's entirely possible that someone could find him crouched or seated next to a foreign plant, inspecting it curiously, or treading down a path through the forest. He's intrigued by the small "newbie huts" that were constructed, as well as evidence of the fighters training in the forest. This is far and above anything he'd see back home.]

Assuming this works... I've been reading the guides to this place. I'm interested in speaking with the spirits, and by extension, those of you who are talking to them regularly.

It'd be important for me to find a way to be of assistance in this warfare situation.

Hmm... and I'm still looking for my medicine box. It's large, wooden, and meant to be worn on the back. If you find a box like that, please don't just rummage through its contents, if they are present.

Humans bearing animal traits tends to denote an infection by Mushi. I'm afraid you're the first human-like non-human I've ever met.

[Barring humans that have turned into mushi, or a few others that take human forms, but there's rarely an in-between in terms of animal-and-human characteristics.]

I have not heard of Mushi before. If they infect then are they a demon that is spread through touch? [She's heard of "demons" like that in her world. Only what some would call the work of demons is nothing more than a spreading sickness.

They're not demons. They're just living things, trying to get by. They can infect a human host in many different ways... it depends on the mushi, and what it needs to survive.

Is that not what all creatures do?

It is. Which is why mushi aren't "evil" or "demonic".

[And if only she was better at explaining that being a demon in her world doesn't always mean evil in her mind. Well, the ones who infect others usually are looked as evil.

Although the woman shrugs. She cares very little if something she knows little about is evil or not.]

I have never seen nor heard of a mushi before. I do not believe that they are in the world that I came from.

It's possible either way. Most people can't see them.

Most? Why is it that some can see them and then others can not? [That sounds really odd to her.]

We have theories, but there's no real proof. Sometimes people can see them, sometimes they can't.

I've not seen one, no... that's the strangest part.

Why is that strange? Have you been to this land before and seen these creatures here?
